i'm well aware that goalies are not fair game. however, it seems pretty clear to me that shaw was trying to "get skinny" in an attempt to avoid full contact with smith. two minute penalty...not a five minute major.
and yes, it seems shanahan has been giving it extra to the hawks...that dirty hit by keith could have been like similar elbows and only been a three game suspension instead of five. and now shaw gets three games as opposed to the one game that was being predicted. considering that shanahan spent more than half of his career playing for the blues and the wings, he seems to have a little bit of a grudge. i'm not saying this is definitely the case, but is sure is starting to seem like it.
i'll bet you money torres gets suspended for that "clean" hit.
His right skate doesn't come off the ice untill he has already made quite substantial contact with Henrik.
The hit was not late either, he was simply finishing his check.
The only thing he could have been called for would have been charging, but that's still debatable.
I've played for 17 years and still going strong, also have a few years of reffing. If you wanted to pull the card haha
