147 pages in the 2010-11 Thread. Here start's next season.

Now the season's over, Boston has the cup for the summer, but it's all up for grabs come autumn. Bump it through the slow summer months as transactions occur

Oh, and to start some tradition: LOL @ Anaheim.

I've played hockey for 17 years and I play college hockey. Most hits in the NHL guys leave their feet a little bit because they explode up and through the body, just like Schenn did. It usually puts them up on their toes. He did not deliberately jump into the check.

Why hasnt anyone smashed neals fucking skull in yet?

He's taking way too many liberties flying around trying to injure philly skaters..someone needs to put him in his place by making him chew on a couple of his own chicklets

where at? just curious?

ive played hockey since i was 5ish, but there is a difference between leaving your feet after the intial contact and being in the air before you hit him, and schenn jumped before he made contact, so that is why he got a penalty.


if you look at neals hit on the guy with no teeth, courtier or however you spell it, he left his feet how you said. still should have been a penalty, but not for leaving his feet.

im convinced giroux is gay and just wants to hug crosby.

but i was pissed when adams jumped on hartnel, crosby had him under control and then adam goes and pulls his hair. although i dont think that was his intent since it looked like he had more jersey then hair.


but at least they are putting on a good show.

I agree with the hair, hartnell had him in a pretty good headlock and adams just happened to try and get some leverage by grabbing shoulder pads, just so happens hartnells hair was in that same area - I dont see any intent there

But if that isnt the definition of a third man in penalty I dont know what is lol

So flyers will probably end up winning this series. But I don't see the flyers going very far. Sure their offense is on point. But the goaltending and D is still letting too many goals in. And when they play a team with solid D and goaltending, unlike Pitt, they will have no chance.

but I haven't seen another angle of the Schenn hit, only saw it from the angle where they showed it at in full speed during the game. But my point was proven by Neals hit like you said.

Adams pulling Hartnell's hair was fucking terrible.

Game 4 should be a real shitshow, especially if Philly struggles to keep composure.

and i have heard someone be called a duster before, but i have never heard someone refer to a series as dusty.


also the term duster i think isnt being used a much, at least i havent heard but then again i dont play as much as i used to.

I actually like sid, I think he's tremendously talented and I was very happy to see him come back to the NHL after all that concussion bullshit and I think he's great for the league..I jjust lose tons of respect for him after watching him game after game since I dont get to watch him much during the regular season

That being said, he is still a sniveling pussy

i dont get this, i thought he did pretty damn good today.

took down giroux and hartnel, and was putting some hits out there. granted he is not a hitter at all, but other players dont get shit for that. Just Crosby.

Also anyone else think Malkin is playing like shit? i think he is getting a big head, he used to back check and now he doesnt, he skates maybe halfway and just coasts the rest he also got fat. plus his playoff performance sucks.

Its the way he starts shit but never finishes i.e. his scrap with hartnell that he started but adams had to come flying in and be the 3rd man in because sid cant hold his own

Malkin is definitely off his game..I was watching a recap when they were showing his 9 attempted shots from game 2 and how they were all missed wide and how he just didnt seem to be keyed in and precise like he usually is, obviously him not playing up to his usual standard is a huge reason for why the pens are struggling

Plus I feel like they are trying to play more towards phillys style than their own style and its backfiring

if it came down to it Crosby could easily stand his ground in a fight against 95% of the players in the league.


Also Hagelin gone for 3 games. It's no fair trade for Alfie if he ends up missing any games though, but good call on the suspension.

maybe a bit over exaggerated. 85%. if it was an off-ice fight then no. but he's just plain out better on his skates than the vast majority of other players giving him the advantage when he's not against a fighter. obviously he'll get his shit wrecked by most fighters, but there are only a few fighter on each team. so they do only count for a small percentage of skaters.

so lets says theres an average of 20 players on an NHL team so with 30 teams there are roughly 600 players..you seriously think sid could beat 570 of those players???? or even 85% which is 510 players??? hahahahahaha you're a fucking moron...everything you say from now on should not be taken seriously

get off the kool aid kid..he's an incredible scorer/play maker, but he will never be mistaken as a tough physical player or especially as a player than can fight
