Dude whatever you like to ride fuck everyone else's thoughts if you like your shred stick you like it and nothing else matters. That being said there are better boards and worse ones so again whatever feels good for you. long boards don't really matter unless you get into racing or slides, or flat ground tricks then thats when you need to get certain types of decks wheels and trucks.

unless its a loaded board it sucks, only loaded boards are good boards, all other brands other then loaded are shitty boards

Sector 9's suck so get the loaded dervish. Its 41" and bamboo and its real sick. My friend has a 48" so pretty much the best length is whatever you like

like everyones saying. its whatever you like to ride and have fun on. I have a rayne vendetta and love the way it rides slides and whatnot. but anyways sector 9's arn't bad boards, theres better boards out there tailored for more agressive longboarding

theres nothing wrong with having a sector 9 bamboo... they are entry level boards and just the common name that everyone knows, even those who know nothing about longboarding.... its kind of like what salomon twintips were like back in the day, the only thing you can find in the shop. Ive had two sector 9s and now i ride a loaded dervish. Personally i love my loaded cause its perfect allaround for what i do, but they are pricey. I can use it to bomb up to about 40 mph, carves great and can do some decent dancing on it. That being said there are cheaper boards out there that are just as good, and then specialty boards made for specific stuff (slalom, downhill, dancing, etc.). If you are happy with your sector 9, stick with it. throw on some nice trucks, bearings and wheels and your all set.
