1) go to a drift store/salvation army/ yard sale
2) pick up second hand skipoles for ultra cheap
3) remove handle by boiling the grips in water and twisting them off
3b) if this don't work, put the sticks between a vice, make sure you put some rubber between the vice and the pole (so you dont damage em and they don't come loose), then take a mallet and pound the grips off (hit them on the bottom)
4) to remove baskets, put plumbing pliers right above the basket on the pole, then put pole down on the ground with the tips first, then pound on the pliers with a mallet, the baskets should pop off quite easily
5) take rough sandpaper and remove original paintjob, or at least make sure the pole is prepped for painting
6) give it the paintjob you want, in your case rasta, get red, yellow and green spraypaint
then paint the middle of the pole yellow, make sure to spray more than 1/3rd yellow, let it dry
now tape off the dried up yellow part where you want green and red to begin, then spray them in the respective colors
7) after the paint has dried, remount desired grips and baskets
sidenotes:
a) should you want to cut poles to desired size, use pipecutters for a smooth cut, or if you don't have some, use a metal saw
then remount grips like you would've done otherwise...
b) for handles, you can use whatever handle you like and if the poles are too thin to fit the handle, you could always wrap em in ducttape until they have the desired width....
c) you could also use tennis grip
d) using second hand poles will give you a clean result and will also be alot safer than trying to make your own from scratch....
