I was just looking out my window and i saw what looked like a star but it was really low in the sky and it was hauling ass west to east. Should i call like a UFO hotline or something?

I think more likely a satellite its midnight where i live the sun is too low to still be catching planes but that got me thinking do all satellites travel in the same orbital direction?

no, they do not. if it looked like a moving star it was almost definitely a satellite
