Night Train vs. Caylor... +K (lolz)

hey guys, i'm moving to washington next year and i am in search of some powder skis. This will be my first year ever pow skiing and i'm really stoked. I've been looking into the on3p caylor (lite) and moment night train. they seem to be relatively similar skis. Imlooking for a ski that will have sweet flotation and can stomp some medium-small cliffs haha, and a ski that i can throw around in the bc.

5'10
155ish
never skiied pow before, only park.


Help would be sweet, i've already talked to a few people, and im leaning a bit towards the caylor lite, but i dont think i'll order tomorrow, so there's also like a 200$ price difference...

you can't go wrong with either, main difference is that caylors have camber underfoot whilst night trains are flat, so night trains should perform better in le pow.

the 186 night trains measure to 182 so you gotta take account to that. the on3ps will be longer and stiffer. the taper on the trains is super so they can just float like a mother fucker. they are flat camber which will still make them skiable elsewhere. both choices are good

caylors have 1 mm of camber underfoot. Its a negligible difference, they are more or less flat

id say night train but both of them are great
the moments i know more about cuz i live in reno
anything moment is really tough and float great

I'm about your height and weight (5'10 and 165) and I have the caylors and I live in Washington. I don't know about the night trains but the caylors are amazing. They are the perfect stiffness, where they are still playful yet stiff enough to hold up to shit crud and heavy pow that we get in wa. both bomber skis. get the caylors if you're gonna ski switch pow and jib a lot. otherwise, go with the night trains

Both are sick skis, but I havent tried the Night Trains. I own some ON3P Wrenegades and can speak for the awesome customer service, workmanship, and overall quality of ON3P. I demoed the Caylors for a bit at Baker in some horrible conditions (super icy/chunky), and was amazed at how well they performed even in conditions so far out of their element. They were very comfortable at speeds with minimal tip/tail chatter for that kind of ski and were very confidence inspiring to carve on chunky ice on. I have some friends who are sponsored by moment and they love theirs. While I have not tried the Night Trains, they seem like a pretty sick ski. The ON3Ps will probably be lighter and last you longer however. Plus it supports a great local company.

Overall, I dont think that you could go wrong with either, but I would choose the Caylors based on my prior experiences with ON3P and their amazing skis

Id say get normal caylors. The lites are probably going to be way to soft.

even though the caylors seems to be a bit better of a choice, i will probably go with the night trains as the presale ends today and i  won't order today. +K to all.

Just FYI, we have a small number of 10/11 181cm Caylors left in stock. Pricing is at $579 and will remain that way until they are sold out, so that would save you $170 over 11/12 caylors once the presale ends.

ive owned both moment and on3p...

id go with on3p.
better, tougher materials.
the caylors are a seriously well thought out ski and the flex is perfect
customer service is on point for both companies

im sure youll be happy with either ski though.

except for the fact that there's hardly any camber, and the rocker is a lot higher on the caylor. I'd bet the caylor performs better in the soft stuff.

With the Caylor, we're talking like a millimeter of camber, I'd bet rocker shape has more influence on how the two skis do comparatively.
