Do yourself a damn favor and never fly American Airlines

OK so first off this isn't a thread to bitch about my bad travel experience but a thread to warn people about AA and to hopefully cause people to go with AA's competitors causing a downturn in profits hopefully causing them to stop treating passengers like livestock. Ok so i was flying from Denver to Barbados last week. We had a layover in Miami. We got to Miami and AA sends out a pre recorded message saying our flight was cancelled and the next flight was the next day at the same time and our vacation was only a week so this a huge bummer. long story short they fucked us and didnt pay for a hotel room. On the way back we were laying over in Miami again overnight so we had a hotel. We get to the hotel at 8 pm and see that the tickets accualy say the flight is at 9 pm not the next day. They bumped it up 10 hours and didn't even call us. We go booking to the airport and make it. I had to sprint like a half mile with all my stuff when i got there the gate attendant bitched at me saying you should have checked the gate. I guess this really doesn't sound to bad but i left out a ton of infuriating details. Basically by the end of the trip i was about ready to go burn down AA corporate offices. So if you can do yourslef a favor and dont fly AA
