Snow lasting all summer in areas it typically doesn't

So i keep hearing about the way above normal snowpacks still left out west. Over 20 feet still in many areas. Coming from the east, i'm used to seeing snow left for maybe 3 months of the year....not 10, 11 or 12. So do you think some of this snow will last all year? Personally i find it so fucking interesting that snow can be that deep and last all year. There's still tons of snow here in Mammoth. The snowpack is definitely starting to decrease though. I know that Utah is going off right now. Snowbird should just stay open all year.

Took this pic today in Breck... green grass in my bf's yard and a mountain of snow in the background. It will EASILY be around all summer. Loveland Pass? Forget about it... there will be FEET.

Not being a dick but global warming really isn't a term used anymore, it's called climate change now. The earth isn't warming all together, the climate is just rapidly changing in drastic ways.

Highly unlikely here in CO... We had a record breaking snowfall this season. Last year this time there was hardly ANY snow to be had. But who knows! Maybe next season will be another banger. I hope not, though. 7 months on a normal year is enough... This was a rough year to say the least, and still is. I'm seriously ready for a tropical vacation.

I think I will go with fuck you west coast. Snow all year round. I just skied tuckermans a couple weeks ago. that shits probably gone now. you guys can still ride a lift and I have to drive to a fucking hockey arena to get snow. what ever at least I can bike the mountains now.

But when you can have the best of winter (minus pow) in the same day as you can have the best of summer, it's all time. Still so much snow up seymour, and the beaches in vancouver are becoming super nice places to chill. Not often you can do both in one day. Oh yeah, and this is the first time I've ever seen the canucks play in June, so there's another fun part of winter carrying into the summer.

It's mid june and there's still tons of snow at the base parking lot at seymour. Up higher there aren't even patches of exposed dirt yet. I think it'll be easy to find good places to ride late into the summer.
