Advice needed from those who have a large lawn mowing clientele

I am in the process of expanding my lawn mowing clients in my neighborhood and had a few questions for you entrepeneurial mowers. I was wondering how you guys keep a log of all your payments and lawns mowed because I have not found a good system yet. Do you use a spreadsheet, notebook, etc. Also, when do you collect payments (weekly/bi-weekly/monthly) and have you ever ran into problems with people not paying?

Any other tips/advice for doing this would be much appreciated!

Im not doing it now but I would just keep a written log of everything like who paid and talk to your clients and see how often they want to pay I was charging every 2 weeks but alot of people do monthly as well

I dont mow lawns....but Im an accountant.

The simplest way to do it would be to just set up an excel spreadsheet. List your clients along the columns on the top and the dates that you mowed the lawns and received pymts on the left and total it across the bottom.

i had a dry erase board with what was essentially a spreadsheet on it. just checked off names when they paid me/ kept track of who needed mowing. collected every two weeks either in person or cash conveniently placed
