Old broken canon camcorder NEEDED

I need to qualify for the canon loyalty program and need one of these broken cameras. I'm sure someone has something lying around. We'll work out a deal so you make some money.

check thrift stores, craigslist etc.
does it have to be a camcorder, or could you do a qualifying digital camera?
