No I was looking to buy, but I don't know much with regards to large audio like this. Sorry I looked at that and realized how it looks like I am selling but I am just trying to research shit to buy.

dude build your own, itll be so much better than buying some lame prodo cabinet.

it's a passive speaker, requires a separate power amp. a PA may be a bit much, fair warning.

Okay, my logic was that for $500 I could buy a single cabinet that would blow away equally priced computer or home audio systems. Foolish logic I know, but I had just figured that I could get a single cabinet that would hit way louder than anything else anyone has here, but I guess it probably wouldnt sound good at low volume.

JBL has always made great quality speakers, I just got a pair of monitors for mixing.

If you're trying to set up a system in your room though, you should have more than one speaker...and JBL's are nice but they aren't the most thrifty of buys. $500 for a JBL cabinet is a FUCKING good deal...got a link to where to buy it? I might have to get it first haha

Cabinets aren't really for casual listening either. You'll want a sub, you want at least two speakers to create a stereo/surround sound. I would recommend looking at the specs of the speakers you want to buy and googling those, because honestly there are a lot of good brands out there and unless I see the layout of your room and what you want to do with it I wouldn't be able to recommend just one. If you want to get the top quality you gotta pay...but yeah I would stay away from the cabinet and go for something a little cheaper.

well nvm I just googled the JBL you want to buy and you can get that for $379 online. Why would you want a PA system in the first place?

Like I said I don't know much, I just thought that in a 15' by 15' room i could run an indoor outdoor PA system. I have been looking around at some computer audio systems like the bose companion 3's and similar klipsch, but honestly I don't know what to look for I guess I should get out and check out some shit at guitar center too. Honestly the idea stemmed from when I was at a "club" last night and they had some JBLs cabinets hanging that I thought hit hard, and so i figured one would be good for my room. But like I said I don't know shit when it comes to audio.

Yeah I mean what you want all depends on the size of your room. Big speakers in small rooms don't work well with the acoustics necessarily.
