there was an article on the front page of the new york times today about lcc and how much snow they had gotten this year. it really wasn't a bad article except it still didn't tell me how to get to chad's gap from the bottom of alta. fuckin' gapers.

eff yeah La Nina. how long will she continue? august skiing should actually be good out west this year.
Though I don't like the tone of the article in the second half. snow is good for the ecosystem and this is a natural cycle. it's only a "threat" because someone moved there. people need to remember that we are still vulnerable to the wrath of nature. plus, all the snowmelt in that region just goes to the Great Salt Lake, which has been shrinking lots and can certainly handle much more volume.
