Alright well here is the original rant basically stating that it is ridiculous that skiing is not featured in the cool new commercial from 6.0.

the response is feeble in all aspects. i got absolutely nothing out of it except weak-ass obscure excuses, accompanied by some other random shit about how they are broke + the occasional condescending remark. i also tried to understand what the fuck he was talking about with the whole core thing, but i got bored. the fact that it looked like a grammatically down syndrome internet warrior had written it added insult to injury. worst retort ever.

Yes, BMX is above all. Think about it, BMX bikers (well, all bikers actually) crash harder than anyone in any other sport, and then they have a 20 pound chunk of metal cartwheeling on top of them.


And wow, that SBC article was very poorly written. Grammar mistakes everywhere, bullshit response. That was embarrassing. BroBomb wins by far.

i hadnt even thought about how skiing wasnt in the commercial. i would never have expected that anyway, and it was a pretty badass commercial without skiing.
who cares about a tv ad though. if your that concerned about being mainstream, you should still be jizzing yourself about the olympic announcement

free climbing is just a stupid and unnecessary way to make an already dangerous sport more gratuitously dangerous. it's like placing spike pits all around your rails and jumps so if you fall you die

sickening when i see free climbers die and leave families.. so selfish..

I don't think T-Rob works for sbc either?  It was a letter(online response?) not an article.

I disagree mosty, while i do agree with you that there is an aspect of selfishness in regards to free soloing, free soloing is the most pure form of climbing there is.  I see it as a way of pushing yourself as a climber both physically and even more so mentally.  If you look at the sport of climbing, to some extent it has peaked in terms of what one can achieve or do while roped in.  Free soloing was/is the next step in pushing, or as we like to say in freeskiing "progressing" the sport.  While I personally would never even consider climbing anything in a free solo style, athletes like Dean Potter and Alex Hannold free solo routes with pure intentions.
