There was a thread a while back about the "blender", (for those who don't know, the blender is when you are about to spin switch and you look over the opposite shoulder, i.e. spinning left and looking over your right shoulder.) I remember people saying that it was ugly, impractical, and dangerous. I understand the first two, but I can't see how it's dangerous. As far as I can see, it's basically just adding another blind rotation to the spin. Thanks.
in baseball you watch the ball all the way to your bat. in skiing you should watch your tranny all the way to your pop. if you blender you go bind in the tranny and the likelihood of pre spinning snags or missed pops would seem to be higher.
when i spin switch i stop looking at the tranny as im going up the jump. if youre used to spinning blender or whatever its called, i dont see a problem with it
Yeah but you're at least looking forwards. The extra rotation just adds another 180 degrees where you can't see where you're going, and gives you a wonderful opportunity to fuck up in a terribly painful way.
