Here we go again, its my last night in the dorms, just gonna kick it with the friends i made in the hall and drink some beers, pretty much what we do every night. Unfortunetaly our RA decided to go on a power trip, comes to our room and says "your being loud turn off the music". Fair enough, we turn off the music and swear to god 20 minutes later the police showed up. Long story short i refused a breathalizer, which i am regretting now as I only had half a pint o hard a like an hour before, and they wrote me an mip. Nowww one would think, oh another mip thread stfu. But there is more to the story, I got an mip this summer in another state and I am currently on a probationary period for a diversion plan, what this means, I have no fucking idea. I am wondering if anyone has any experience. I dont think that it will matter because the diversion plan I am on is only for washington state, but I know if I break that I will lose my license. So my question is, do I need to worry about the courts in washington finding out about this and fucking up my life for the next year.
90 days of probation, random drug tests and a MIP diversion class, isnt that what the diversion plan is. and how old are you? even if its in a different state i would imagine that its not going to be good for you.
im 19, i was 18 when i got the first one. The diversion plan wasnt anything like that, basically they let me go with a 200 dollar fine and that was all. Although I am on a one year probationary period, which is far from over. If I get kicked out of university for this shit I am moving to canada, such bs.
well if your probation was over you should be fine, but that sucks that you got another one and of they kick you out of the university then kick them in the nuts.
mostly depends on how you are to the judge to be honest, if you seem like a harmless kid they'll let you off, if you come in looking like the type of kid all old grumpy ass men hate he can be a dick and give you longer probation, alcohol and UA tests, one of my buddies had to spend a night in jail but we live in a small town and he got the same judge all 3 times so the guy just hated him. Just be polite and shit and you have a much better chance of just having to pay the fines and stuff and still get one of them deferred
Out of curiosity, what university? And where in Washington were you when you got the other one?
Good luck man. It really sucks how much risk there is drinking, even when you think you're fine, and how one person's decisions can really be a game changer.
