Park or Pow? PNW/Schwitzer locals should chime in please!

So I need some new skis. Trouble is I have no idea what to buy. I haven't actually looked at buying new skis in a good three or four years. First I need to decide whether I want park skis or pow skis. I'm riding lizzies now, but I just wish they were thinner for park. If I could just take 20 or 30 mm out of those lizzies it would be the PERFECT park ski. But I'm headed off to college next year so Schwitzer is going to be my new home mountain for the next for years. So maybe they get enough snow that I can justify getting some fatty skis?

Height: 5'2"
Weight: 121
Super aggressive skiier and I like to ski fast. In the park I prefer a softer ski (at 121 pounds even medium flex skis beat me up) and I like to carve. The lizzies are great, but it's a lot to throw around in the park. In pow I'm kinda looking for a balance between being able to chop through tracked powder and ride them on the groomers (my old chetlers handled pretty well as did my ep's, they were just too damn long). My chetlers just beat me up and my ep's were kinda squirly in crud. Both of those problems can probably be attributed to them being way too big for me.
I'd like to limit these skis to about a 171 in the pow and maybe 166 in the park. somewhere in that area.


So basically, what is out there, and what would you guys reccomend? Hopefully some locals will chime in with what the pow is like up there.

Alright just like white pass then. I was hoping a little elevation would shed some pow on that hill haha. I think I'll stick to using my lizzies as a pow ski and get some park skis.

well we're talking schweitzer here! the snow there is pretty dang good. not anything like the Cascades. The terrain also justifies a larger ski. Though I think they do have a pretty good park. One of my favorite places to ski in the NE WA/ North Idaho area.

Right on. When I was there the snow seemed pretty nice. It seemed like there was a lot of steeps? So I was thinking of something a little more back country oriented as far as a pow ski goes. The park is nice tho. And that pushes me towards getting a new park ski.

sfb's. can shread park like a boss, and then take it up to 7th heaven when they get a foot of pow and countinue to ride like a boss

a good soft park ski would be the Line Afterbangs in a 166 a Little long maybe but i really like them. i am 5.9 and i use the 166 a little short but i can wip spins super fast.

Sick thanks for all the replies guys. I've actually got some 171 Caylors that I sold to my sister. I never got to ride them in more than four inches of fresh lol.
