Police in Mason are investigating an incident where a man reportedly assaulted a boy while visiting Kings Island on June 3.
At approximately 6:30pm on June 3, police say a mother reported her juvenile son was assaulted at Kings Island.
According to Kings Island Spokesperson Don Helbig, "The Mason Police Department and Kings Island are working together diligently to ascertain the identity of the suspect. Kings Island has a long established history of providing a safe, secure and family-friendly environment and takes this allegation very seriously."
Many parents say the incident is concerning.
"It's alarming when you drop your kids off at a place like this where there are other people, you want to think that nothing is going to happen to them and they are surrounded and the park provides safety," said parent Melissa Hunt, who was letting her teenage daughter to go Kings Island with a friend. "She is responsible, I trust her and I know these things can happen to anyone. She is a teenager and she knows if someone were to approach her to go to an adult."
Still, many parents say this one isolated incident won't change their minds about letting their children go to Kings Island.
Mason Police will release more information as it becomes available.
