whether you're angry, upset, mildly bummed, or simply feeling emotional and not stoked on the way things have been panning out, what do you do to calm your spirits and soothe your soul? are there short term steps you take? long term processes that you follow? how do you find a way to put your woes behind you and allow yourself to be revitalized, prepared to tackle the future with a positive perspective, sense of optimism, and new life?
1.) First, I would find a nice place outside where the nature is beautiful and there is a nice overlook or path to walk in the woods. For instance, a quarry, a state forest, or a gorge.
2.) Bring headphones and listen to some relaxing beats. Preferably i would like to listen to some dub or maybe some reggae when i'm outside.
3.) Make sure I bring a couple of my buddies with me so i don't get to lonely.
4.) Bring some food and water to quench my hunger and thirst when necessary.
5.) Lastly and most obivous, BLUNT.
Oooh, I like this thread. Sometimes I play viola or guitar, but usually all I have to do is take some time and go do something in nature. I'll either take my iPod or someone who I can talk to about anything and whether it be a walk along the beach, a hike, a walk in the woods, sitting by a lake, skiing, biking, or boating, I always find my peace.
scare the shit out of myself, by doing something extreme. skiing, biking, climbing trees, jumping off shit. they always humble me yet make me feel good.
Either hit the mountain with some good electronic music and ride by myself, not really pushing myself or anything, or slaughter some kids I don't know over the internet via Call of Duty, given that I'm not too mad to play good. Doing bad just makes me every more mad in which case I would just go take a nap.
