I've always found how other people view religion, belief systems etc. extremely interesting, I'd personally like to hear what everyone believes
For example, I believe that there is some sort of a higher power, not god but something, I think that the bible is a load of shit and that we shouldn't follow rules written in a book but as long as what we do doesn't interfere in the lives of others than we can do them, I also believe that the afterlife isn't really there, we're all sort of reincarnated and the actions of our past lives decide what the circumstances will be in our new life

I like the whole reincarnation idea because it gives you some sort of hope at the end of your life. Deaths a scary thing, but in no way am I hoping to meet some guy up in the clouds or bullshit like that. No offense. I don't even really consider myself agnostic, more like atheist, because in my mind right now the idea of a god is really impossible considering I think of hints in a really scientific way. So yeah, no guy in the sky, the bible is a bunch of stories attempting to seem real, most religions have no basis for their beliefs other than stories passed down through time, and possible reincarnation is a good idea. That's me.

I'm kind of in the middle. I think that if there is a God he has to be a "puppet-master" of sort. But, Religion in a way helps people become better people so I'm down.

Apathetic is the easiest way to describe my beliefs. I think there is a god and that jesus was his son, but I can't really prove anything. Its called faith for a reason. But on the flip side, I dont really think there are any positive benefits from believing in god. There may or may not be an afterlife, and all people are allowed into it, regardless of their crimes.

I can see why religion easily grasps a lot of people's minds, it's scary as hell to think that we are living for the sake of living and that there is no higher purpose. And death... believing that god exists makes that way more comforting, knowing that you aren't gone when you're dead. Religion might have me convinced if it wasn't for the whole organized/ churches/ priests/ bible and such. I realized that the only reason religion has so much power is because it came around before we had logical explanations for things, and people have just been too stubborn to admit that they, their parents, ancestors, and society have been wrong. I'm glad that i was finally able to admit to myself even though it's comforting, it's too good to be true, and doesn't fit in with the things that I know and have experienced. Just my thoughts, not saying that anyone that is religious is stupid, just that they are wrong. But my personal philosophy is just to let things go, so as long as people aren't killing each other over it, everything's fine.

What I think about religion is that it is a little over done nowadays. You should not have to go to church to serve any god. Being an overall good person is better. Church to me is for a lot of people who want their image. I get my opinion from being a student in a catholic highschool which has shown me only negative about religion so far. Not trying to dis, just stating what I think.

I dont care what people believe. I am not an athiest but i dont believe in anything i think there could be a higher power. But i think god was just made up. I feel like god is what was created to explain things the human mind cannot understand. I also think the bible is not true but it is worth reading because although i would never use it for religion i still think it has a lot of life lessons in it and important things people could learn from the stories.

my personal, honest, probably stupid opinion of religion is that it's for the brainwashed, the weak minded and those who are uncomfortable with their lives as a whole. believing in a superior super-natural being is too far fetched. the good part about religion is that it brings families together, and establishes morals, values, and virtues.

Until you READ, and STUDY scriptures, then comment if you believe or not.
That is what i think.
There is SO much to learn from scriptures.
 For me, i am LDS and i'm proud.

Not quite sure what you're getting at with "nowadays". If anything, religious restrictions and expectations have taken a serious hit in the past 50 years alone. These changes are even more dramatic if you consider earlier times such as the middle ages where the church was the predominant institution in Europe.

I agree with a good amount of the morals that are set forward because of it, but there are other things in the bible that I don't agree with
But what I am talking about is that you shouldn't base your beliefs and religions off of what someone else wrote down and created for you, you should create your own beliefs
