Do you have to edit footage from this cam on a special computer or can a macpro or imac handle the quality of footage?

I wouldnt see why not, its prores 422 easy format.

Depends on what you have it scanned to...

My old non-intel G5 could edit 1080p 16mm but not 720p DSLR footage...
