What pop son.

I'm a boarder, have and always will be. Buttttt I wanna try skiing and eventually be bi-snow-curious and swing both ways ;)

I've tried one time this season and it was legit.

Basically I just want advice for prospective buying, heres the specs:

5'8
size 9 shoe (as far as I know I think I'd be a 27 in a ski boot?)

Lookin for a cheap as possible park/all mountain (I guess) set up.

All suggestions are welcome and will be researched.

For some cheap park skis that will work for all mountain, yet kill for their price, check the Line Masterminds.

You thought you were a size 27 right? Don't just buy a 27 online. Make sure you go to your nearest shop and try on the boots before you buy em

Mastermind for sure, or for a lil bit more money chronics, but for a boot go to a boot fitter to see what fits yoiu the best.

I'm in the same boat as you dude. Picking up a pair of boots and a used pair of skis at the end of the summer, we'll see how the season goes. Super excited. totally going to be doing cork 9's in like a month...

u will soon know that its harder to do tricks on skis than a snowboard.. in my experience anyway.

We'll see. I was a highly mediocre park snowboarder to start with. I plan on putting up some kind of log to document my progress, but that's for later.

it depends. it easier to learn to jump on skis, but harder to learn tricks. its hard to learn to jump on a snowboard, but easy to learn tricks after that. same kind of thing with rails.

Chill out. Also you haven't been here for that long so you can't say that it's been said a million times. I think that the masterminds would be a good bet for you, with possibly look px10's (if you haven't skied before, you won't need more than a 10 din unless you are like 200lbs)

street shoe size is bigger than ski boot size.... you get a ski boot to fit way the fuck tighter than your skate shoes (i havent tightened and tied a pair of skate shoes in forever)

line afterbangs just because they have good pop for learning tricks

dont go by this. i have an 8.5/9 size foot and i wear a 25.5 boot. we cooked em in my oven, but you still wanna get em tight.

I found this post ironic due to your icon...

to the OP: dont trust any charts or stupid conversion sheets, all about the fit in a shop, cant be said enough times. get a used setup in good condition off here or at a ski swap or something. will most likely come with bindings and be a helluva lot cheap than retail
