Ep pros or sir francis bacon?

yo ns im gettin some pow skis for next season but i dont know what to get between ep pros and sir francis bacons? i want some advice, cause i dont know. thanks guys

what was the EP Pro's will not be the Mr. Pollard Opus/Pollardopus. They are significantly stiffer and narrower (118 vs. 127) than the 10/11 EP Pros so keep that in mind when buying your skis.

btw i have 10/11 EP Pros and absolutely love them.

Check out their new skis, Mr. Pollards Opus, they are narrower and stiffer than last years EP's but will still fucking slay pow.
And they look so good. I feel you though man, I'm debating these skis or the bacon's and I just can't decide.

the mr. pollard opus are so sick! thanks... im leanin on the ep pros though, if im 5'8 what size ski? cuz my park sis are 167 should i get the same size ir get bigger?

EP pros only come in 185. it might seem huge and intimidating but with the rocker on them and how soft they are id say they would still work for you. im 6'0 and ride 185's and they feel like 165's to me and kinda wish they came in a 195; nevertheless they are still super fun to ride and just talking about them has me so fucking anxious knowing i have to wait until December to ride them again.

yee dude thanks so much thats some good advice! i know i wanna ride so bad. i hope i get em now ha can they ride groomers at all? or are they just pow?

they are good on groomers. not great. but on nice groomed runs you'll have no problem unless you are completely bombing the hill then they get a little sketchy. (like imagine a jeep going 100 mph... a little shaky but you'd have no problem cruisin at 80). the only area where i have found them difficult to ride is the clumped/mini mogul'd snow on the groomed runs late on powder day. then you have to be pretty focused rather than just straight lining over everything as you would on a stiffer ski.

only one place to mount them.. 2 back from center is perfect

and ^ they are replacing the EP Pros bro.

So I am in the same boat.....I don't know which ski to choose, EP or SFB. I am getting Chronics but for powder days and when I am not in the park I want something with a larger waist. Any suggestions?

Well there next year not making the EP pro anymore. Its being replaced with the "Mr Pollards Opus" Also the Sir Francis Bacon is changed. it has thinner dimensions then the previous years... If your looking to get either ski you will probably want to buy them soon before the 2011 bacons and Ep pros are all sold out...

Bacons are a great powder ski. They also handle well on hardpack. Ep's are designed mainly for those lucky few who will be riding a foot of fresh with not a grimmer in sight. I'd recommend the bacon unless you live in Canada Utah or Wyoming.
