Pretty interesting. I think society as a whole as a skewed perspective on marijuana. As they said in the video, no pharmacies or pharmaceutical companies will consider this drug because you can't patent a plant and if you can't patent it, then there is no business behind it meaning no one profits.

Great now it cures cancer... Now the government will never legalize it.

I was down in Texas recently and the opinion on weed in 100% different than in Colorado. People were literally telling me that thousands and thousands of people OD on weed every year and it is more addictive than cocaine. Fuck you DARE program, fuck you indeed.

sure it can work but it doesn't work 100% of the time which is where the video fell through for me. If he talked more about facts than "It worked for me it will work for everyone", I would have liked it more.

Also it really isn't anything new.

yep. Monstanto owns multiple patents on seeds. They are genetically altered seeds but they have patents on them. Basically they charge farmers every year to buy seeds off of them and they sue the farmers if they keep any seeds from previous plants that they grew, making them have to buy seeds way more than needed. So yes you can patent a plant you just need to alter the seed to make the plant slightly different (grows faster or whatever) and there you go.

I agree. Sure it is obvious that cannabis and marijuanna can be used for cures such as cancer but I feel as though theres more to it. I like to hear the other spectrum.

The US Government's own cancer website literally shows no negative side effects on cancer, and even goes so far as to say that there is no correlation between people who only smoke marijuana and lung cancer.

I was a non-believer in that little tidbit until I read it on this website. It also acknowledges the effectiveness of Cannabis over most drugs on the market today.

It really is time to wake up.

Tobacco causes cancer but is fine, marijuana cures cancer but is illegal... someday high school kids will laugh at how stupid our government was for this policy. I don't even smoke, so I can say from an outside perspective that this is truly ridiculous. Happy that the bill passed in Vermont though!
