3 or 4 more edits im working on to be dropped in the next month all with the best riders in the area. Ian Hamilton, Joe Dillon, river Lucas, Seth Clark, Tanner Olson, Quin wolferman, the list goes on. The question is Caleb. Why arent you filming with us?
And as for not shaking up the freeskiing scene in missoula? We sponsered, set up, and our riders repped and podiumed in the first 3 Rail jams in missoula HIstory. Two at Caras Park and One On campus right outside the presidents office (edit will be dropped soon). Where were you for those?
Well At the first one our Soul Crew and wolfpac homies pete arneson and noah wallace took first and second. Ian took third. At the second one Ian won and deserved it as you can see , hes the one in the green and white orage in that edit i posted. And at the UM jam the podium was not all zoo crew either. so there was some other competition around .
trying to bring stoke and attention to our favorite sport that doesnt, get the attention it deserves in northwest montana at all? working with non-profits, local businesses, the university, and our local hills to give kids a chance to train and compete when until now, nobody has cared to do so? if that is "silly, and arrogant" what do you recommend we do?
I assure you Stan Darsh, we are very nice people. you might even get along with us. You could come ride with us if you want to. We are not arrogant, but we may be a little silly :). Just trying to get freeskiing poppin off in MIssoula and surrounding areas because nobody has ever tried to do so. And yeahhhh Stickers fooo everyyyone!
i'm all for getting this sport the recognition it deserves and giving kids opportunities and i commend you for that, that's not what i was referring to as silly and arrogant. You can do all of this without talking up all your riders and making other people seem inferior. it looks like there are some pretty decent riders for sure and you are probably pretty chill dudes, but the way you have been coming across based off the things said in this thread is what sounded silly and arrogant.. "who respects the zoo crew?", "with all the best riders in the area", "where were you for those?".
I don't really know much about you guys at all and i'm not trying to make judgements based off of things said on the internet. and like i said i have a lot of respect for you for trying to help move this sport in the right direction.. reading through the comments again, they don't seem to be what i thought when i initially read them, but there is just kind of an "in your face attitude" about a few of them, that's all that was meant by my first post.
I don't live in missoula, nor have i heard much at all about the freeskiing scene there, but it sounds like you're doing good things so keep it up and i definitely appreciate it. Just don't forget that skiing is about FUN, not about always about competitions and hyping up your crew.
I can see your point, and I will agree with you that the initial post of this thread sounds pretty retarded now that I think about it. I believe Cadwood was trying to maybe get a reading of who heard of us throughout the year, but straight up saying 'who respects zoo crew' does sound pretty dumb haha.
And yeah I can see with my first comments as well saying we have the best riders.. etc. I guess Calebs comment stating that "we never are out filming or skiing" and "just hit the diving boards "on campus worked me up a bit at first. Because i have spent many many hours this year filming and trying to motivate the skiiers around here to step up. So i apologize if that came off sounding arrogant, i was really just trying to show that we have been working our asses off this year, on and off the slopes, and we would like people to know that, and become involved.
I get a little passionate about my work and what we are trying to do sometimes, so somebody from Missoula, suggesting we didnt do much this year really hit me personally. I am sorry if I sounded like an ass, was not meaning to do so.
We are planning some shoots in Whitefish next year hopefully, so if your around we would always love to meet some more newschoolers
nahh man it's all good. It definitely sounds like you guys are doin a lot of good shit so keep it up! I'm living in bozeman right now but i go home to ski a decent amount and would be down to shred if we were there at the same time..
actualy we dont man, our crew has had some crazy things happen this year and to even get out as many edits as our "PR" guy did was amazing in my opinion.( and the main one as well as a few of the others are still in the works, due to surgieries etc. on members of our crew) we were dealing with injured riders and injured filmers for the entire season as well as many other things to expect in a sport such as this. i had a serious brain injury and wasnt even supposed to ride this year, but still put it down and did the best i could for zoo crew considering i have permanent brain damage now. thats what this crew is all about, respect, progression, and the ever lasting passion of our sport. zoo crew will be ten times more legit next year, just as all things go, pretty damn good first season if you ask me and especially if anyone had any idea of what many of our riders were going thru this past winter. no hate, not what zoo crew about, just respect and fun. come skiing with us and find out mo chuckers!!!! pray for snow next year and no fucking brain injuries!!! jea zoo crew, bob town, always putting it down. keep it up buddy hope the shoulder better for next year buddy.
Montanan, aka Seth in past years threw down some of the craziest things I had seen, extremely solid rider. Then last summer, he got a very serious concusion that he is still to this day feeling pain. Despite that he has been working to recover and put in his best effort to come out with us and do what he loves doing, and still did pretty damn good at it. So yeahh pretty interesting.............
I was simply asking "Who respects zoo crew?" not trying to be arrogant at all...Just wondering was all....We hope to progress our team much further next year now that we are a student group of UM....Looking for that ASUM funding!
Yall should hop on the train before it leaves the station!
While standing in place. I shoot stars from my wand like the hand of grace...Upon thee I play the riddles of old, while you contemplate my moves so bold
Seth is a badass for sho, never seen someone get hurt SOOO fucking bad on so many occasions and keep chugging. That wakeboarding injury was gnarly us fuck.
