so I went paintballing for the first time yesterday and it was really fun. I want to get into it but the paint hurt more thanvi thought it would. So what I'm asking is can you buy gear to make it not hurt?

Just man up... The pain is what makes the game so fun. The more it hurts to get hit the harder you are going to try to not to get hit and the better the adrenaline rush you will get.

its not that bad, just dont be a pussy about it. Back in the day when i played id be looking down a 05 ego with a boomstick, Halo B rip drive rockin a virtue board. You walk into a burnin lane and you got 5-10 breaks on you, and no ones even thinkin about callin bonus balls.

Wear baggy clothes. I play speed ball and its a necessity. Baggy clothes sometime catch the paintballs so they wont break ;)

The only way to really do that without looking totally ridiculous with protective garments is just to wear heavier clothing.

You could but everyone will hate if you play with cheater vest. Man up it wont hurt much at all the more you play. I play in a tshirt and jersey and im good now.

Oh and we used to just play woodsball and every now and then do a senario so I got one of those special ops tac vests that hold a fuck ton of stuff. I didn't buy it for this reason but it might sort of protect you a little, especially if you get hit in the pockets. When I played I just wear that and a t shirt and I guess that was sort of like protection.

also im pretty sure that it wasnt the worst pain in the world.  ive broken my femur, foot, arm, torn ligaments. believe me bro getting hit with a paintball is nothing compared to some stuff

as someone who has played ball for over a decade, the best advice would be baggier clothing.  Also,if everyone is shooting under 300fps, the paint really doesnt hurt that much.

this x1000. If you can't play paintball cause it hurts too much just quit. It will save you the embarassment you will get when you wear tons of armor/protection

yup its been said...baggy clothing and just grow a pair...and the best part about paintball is making someone else feel the surprise pop of getting hit...its such an adrenaline rush when you start getting fired on.

oh and also just man up. i paintballed in 6 or 7th grade and was in shorts and a sweatshirt. if you get all armored up it takes the fun out of it and the adrenaline wont come to you and youll play shitty.

To be honest it doesn't hurt that much, just get some sort of pain tolerance to it over time. Oh and try not to get shot in the neck. If you think anything else hurts you will change your mind after that.

First time I went speed balling I was behind this log-like object shooting at people, this guy ran up to it when I was shooting in a different direction, jumped over it and shot me in the leg 4 or 5 times, hurt like a mother fucking bitch. Had a two inch welt on my thigh for 2 and a half weeks.

get those paintball pants (no jerz) and wear a nice XL or L sweater (go to value village or some shit)

the pants get bounces like no other, they are super comfy and breath like no other.
the sweater with underarmor under will be comfy and bounce balls.

thats what i rock, oh and hood down.

the only paintball i play is in the woods at my cottage with cousins, friends and my brother. its basically 2 on 2 or a free for all with some super hack old beater guns. sure it hurts to get hit, but thats half the fun. its also not as bad when youre drunk lol

paintball is soooo expensive. and if you wear shorts try not to get shot from close up cuz the stupid wound doesnt heal for like 3 weeks...dumb. and yo dude, come on, get a grip and dont be a puss... it doesnt hurt that bad.... unless you get shwacked in the nuts like that dude way up there ^^ shittty.

i went paintballing in shorts and a basketball jersey once /claim

but it was indoor and they used those rubber reballs so it didnt really hurt very much.
