Smallest jump for a double?

I want to learn doubles this season really bad. What do you think the minimum hight for a jump that
someone can huck a double is?

Well the jump could be 2cm high, as long as a tranny is cut out of a table, and the distance you travel, and height you reach are great enough. Just sayin.

You mean length of deck?

Theoretically you could dub with with 0 foot gap, i.e pipe.

No worries. I'm not an expert on this, but i would say about 15 m (about 55 feet), but i might be wrong. I'm way too old for doubles.
And good claim by the way.

the jump at snowflex in virginia is a 30 footer and people can throw dubs on that apparently

I've seen a lot of doubles done on a 40-45 footer, but I'd say that a 55 footer would be prime.

That's is most definitely not the case. Of course it depends what snow you compare it to, but in general i would say it hurts more. It will also give you badass road rash if you're not covered up. But it's definitely rideable, but saying that it's softer than snow is not true.

Someone, don't remember who, threw a double at the jump during Redbull Playstreets this year. That jump was like 30ft or something.

Dumont did a double superman front on the small opening day jump at Keystone a few years ago. The thing was tiny, maybe 20 feet tops but pretty poppy.

no offense buddy, but this is really a dumb question. every jump is different and has different amounts of pop. i know a 30 foot jump at my mountain that i have seen doubles off of, and i have also hit a 50 footer with no pop that wud be nearly impossible to dub off of. also u need to tell us what kind of dub u are thinking. if its just a straight dub back then u need a smaller jump then u wud need for a dub cork 10 or something. u gotta give us more details.

my advice to you is get comfortable doing loads of tricks on very big jumps. once u get very comfortable with a big jump you will know if it is big enough for a double. i have never done a dub but i have hit jumps where i know its possible.

i feel like you could double a small jump, you would just have to go faster so you could travel farther giving you more time in the air

it hurts less impact wise. slightly more give in it then icey snow, definetly not softer than slush or pow.

but you can get friction burns which sting like a bitch!

lol if your thinking about doing doubles and your question is whats the smallest jump you can pull it around it on you are gunna fuck yourself

pick a massive jump and throw a bunch of huge slow rodeos and then once you are comfortable stalling the out start tucking and hucking for the dub

jump size doesnt matter just get compfortable on a big one aslong as you hit tranny with somewhat control you will be alright

for your standard wedge probably about 45... a step down maybe less, and i don't thing anyone would be dumb enough to try their first dub on a step up

and im assuming you mean a dub of some kind of flip.. because technically a 7 could be called a dub and you can do that off like a 20 if you wanted to

a kicky 40 footer would be the smallest for a really kicky jump, otherwise I would say 50+. It's possible on smaller jumps, but why bother if you'll probably get hurt
