"Peace." Trailer

Please no hate, its all for fun and Im using a 200 dollar camcorder, so the footage couldn't get much better
I'm all for good constructive criticism though

Intro was too long, need some editing software mix the riding with the tunes aswell. You can do whatever you like, make it how you want a ski edit rather than someone else because everyones got there own tastes.

My thoughts:
1. way to much black screen time... i felt like half of it the screen was blank. its okay to use a little, but not nearly that much.
2. Don't make a movie. Take your best shots from the year and make a solid 3-4 minute edit. it will hurt to have to throw away footage, but trust me, the end result will be much better.
3. Song choice. That song is played, and didn't really go with the edit. Also, its already been in a ski movie. Find something original that isn't heavy dubstep or super hardcore rap (so that it appeals to more people)
4. Fix your slow mo. Idk what editing program you use, but the slow mo was really messed up so I'd work on fixing that.
5. this is small, but when you show the logo for that shop, change the logo's background to black in photoshop or gimp so you don't have the white rectangle surrounding the logo
6. shorten the intro a bit-not a huge deal
7. if you want to get more serious into filming, definitely upgrade your camera and buy a tripod by next season.

I'm not hating at all, im just trying to help. You can choose to accept any of these tips or not. IMO, these are just the things that most blatantly need fixing.

Anyways, glad to see you're getting into filmmaking!

Way to much black and nobody need 10 seconds to read 3 words. I would say scrap the movie and make an edit just with the bangers.

Ya the post above kinda summarized it.  If you do nothing else, definitely ditch that song.  It's horribly overused and IMO you don't want a ski movie to be melodramatic, it should bring the stoke on.  The actual footage itself isn't terrible and you could definitely put together something nice with it.  I'd suggest aiming for a more casual vibe than an epic vibe based on the shots in your trailer.

yea no problem. and make sure you are informed about the advantages/disadvantages of DSLRs. I know it feels like half the people on here have T2i's, but honestly half of them would be much better off with something like an HV30

Very solid critique, I would put emphasis on the fixing of the slow mo bits.

Yeah I've done my research and am interested in photography as well, so T2i seems good for me.
