i dont care about your opinions, but i do care about the video section, which used to be the best pat of ns, now its dead. so drop your edits and rate other peoples and bring it back. im tired of seeing the same six edits up there.

no i just got a month long ban a few weeks ago, so this is a temporary alias kinda deal, but regardless i see most edits being embedded in threads and then gone, the video section now has been very slow going and its upsetting

why are forums better? better for what? i want to be able to log on and see skiing, not pages of questions or thoughts from other kids about skiing i just enjoy watching skiing.

Forums are the true soul of the freeskiing community. Forums gives everyone -from industry insiders to weekend warriors- a voice and a medium through which they can share and express their thoughts, opinions and questions with the world.

Watching skiing is great, but I believe that the rhetoric that derives from the skiing is just as important, if not more. You enjoy watching skiing? Go buy some ski movies. And there are still plenty of edits coming out that are a click away in the video section. I see a new edit every day or so in the top rated category. If that isn't enough for you, maybe you should go outside and make your own edits.

I have quoted you at least 3 times today but that's because your post are actually of quality unlike most of NS. Blindside put this perfectly, I don't think anyone could have said it better. Stop fucking complaining, the vid section is still fine. I go there all the time and find new edits to watch.

dont take what i said so personally, i was just asking why you thought so, and i do buy ski movies, and i do film and make edits i just think that recently the video section has fallen off, and kids post their edits on threads and then theyre gone. which sucks.

It's difficult to reply to a question that asks "why you thought so" in an impersonal manner. That being said, i don't think my response comes off as myself having taken what you said very personally at all. I merely listed the reasons that I believed made the forums better and as valuable - if not more - than the video section.

but as you say, the more users the more content gets submitted. that also applies to edits in the forums, which I feel you mods can do something about. You can't delete videos unless they don't apply, but you can delete video threads in the forums...I mean any contest winners or new edits generally go up on their own page or news post. all I see in the forums are kids asking for opinions (not that it's a bad thing, but that's the exact purpose of the comments in video section) and generally a bunch of spam that I won't watch. then again, I'm just one person.

as a user I have my say and if you don't listen, then I guess bully for me. however, it seems as though ns admins have been pretty responsive to requests though, and from what I have seen there have been more requests for deleting videos in the forums than against.
