Hey newschoolers, I'm looking for a pair of freestyle boots but I'm just not happy to pay five-hundred-some dollars for a pair... Are there any alternatives?
sadly boots are expensive, BUT they are the MOST IMPORTANT part of your setup. If they don't fit right then you will either have no control or they will be uncomfortable and you wont want to ski.
Really, there is nothing we can tell you on this site that will get you any closer to a boot that works for you. Boot fit is unique to every person and what works for one usually doesn't work for another. Boots of the same "size" will vary from company to company. Also depending on how wide your foot is will restrict you from certain brands/models.
As much as you can ask us for reviews, they won't really matter because our feet aren't your feet.
Some people have wide feet and love soft boots...so they wear solomons. Jbone uses 130 atomic race boots (narrow and stiff)...cause they fit him best.
Go into a shop and try on boots and figure out what fits you best...the boot chooses you more than you choose a boot.
From there you can try to find a better deal online, but support your local shop if you can.
