bmx no. A downhill helmet. probably a nice one not a cheap one. A dirt bike helmet would probably be better. I mean it's ment for a dirt bike and going real fast. Plus you could use it for mtb, bmx, dirtbiking, and skiing
In various backcountry segments I have seen people wearing the same helmet that I wear for MTB. This may only be because they are riding snowmobiles but they wear them while skiing as well. My helmet isn't that insulated but I could probably wear it skiing. Full-faces have got to be safer for hucking cliffs anyway.
^I race mtb in one of these. Can't speak highly enough about them.
-Super light
-Best air flow in any helmet I've worn, including open face helmets.
-Emergency cheek pad removal is a really good feature
-Super comfy
-The Morrison looks fucking sick!
I wouldn't go with a full on moto helmet, thats going to weigh your head down way too much and throw your balance out i reckon.
a. A TLD D3 isn't that much heavier than most bucket helmets
b. You are still wearing goggles right? You cant see any of the helmet whilst wearing goggles.
c. Pretty hard with a helmet that looks that good.
If ur skiing back country or big mountain don't wear a full mask helmet. Get a good helmet and put a mouth guard in for that type of skiing. It looks weird when u see someone wearing a full face mask. Those are only for MTB.
i know the full mask would be overkill in the bc for skiing but, skiing alone wasnt what i was going for.
I wanted an all around helmet that i could double in the ski world. fuck off if you think it looks off, im gonna keep jaw intact when im huckin 60 footers.
