Uploading GoPro Footage Problems (need help)

My filmer and I are having trouble getting the quality of our footage to stay at 1080p when uploading to any site. Does anyone know how to upload a 3 minute edit, shot in 1080p with audio, without losing the quality? Help us out guys.

There usually is a slight loss of quality uploading to any site, and sometimes they don't support full HD (Newschoolers Media Player is one for example). To most of us, we don't care if it is in 1080 or 720, as long as it plays back smoothly. If you edited the clip, you may not have exported it in Full HD as well, and that could be your problem.

fuck 1080. 720 is more than enough for the web.  I always downgrade my 1080 footage to 720 even when im playing it on a movie theater sized screen.

We've tried uploading it with 720 but it still doesnt upload right and reduces it even more to where its just hard to watch. should we compress the file before uploading it?

I lol'd. 1080p means nothing when it comes to quality, it just means the frame size.
