I love NA built motors. I love ITBs. I love Type R's because they said "fuck comfort, lets make a circuit car for the street". I love how perfectly engineered the DOHC motors are. I love that my 6 speed transmission is geared not for "cruising comfort" but rather for WOT and keeping the car in VTEC at all times. Hate if you like.

idk about 270 at the wheels

maybe with downpipe, exhaust no cats, agressive tuning and meth you could get 250- right now on a hybrid ko4 the 2.0t with meth and is still maxing out at 315 whp- no way the stock snail is gonna push 270 on a reputable dyno

idk about a fail- it is good for 500whp on the factory block- their entire head was designed and manufactured by cosworth- it is an absolute torque monster- spooling on the stock turbos is effortless- and the power curve even on a set of tial 770r's or dual gt28RS's is still efficient and quick

its all the small shit on the car that fails that make it a pain

the issue is that people are buying a 50k car- modifying the shit out of it- and then complaining when shit brakes and they have to pay for parts for a $50k car

in all honesty I regret selling mine and once im done with school im buying another one

hondas are like lego kits, they are cheap to modify and easy to work on. plus there are parts on fucking parts available and between generations and various specs (usdmn vs euro vs jd) fucking everything fits. you could do a b18 swap in an afternoon.


but i hate on them alot, i have a friend whos a huge honda guy but im way more of a rwd drift fan... but i cant deny that i really like well done, fast, civics, and have thought very hard about buying more than one s2000.



but i could never admit that freely in front of anyone. except on the internet.




whatever, i cant talk, i drive a piece of shit bmw and a gmc.

ive got a civic with a built out jdm type r b18c motor in it and i love it. it was the first car i ever built and ill have that thing for the rest of my life. its too bad that so many people build shitty hondas and give the rest a bad name.

also forgot to mention, my buddy, who also skis, has a fully built LSvtec and boosted(around 14lbs of boost)in his DC2 integra. right around 500 horse, he hasnt gotten it dynoed yet. but its easily one of the fastest cars in Minnesota.

honda makes sense for people like my dad who dont want to spend a lot of money on a car and want something that will run forever. Its stupid to see 300+ horsepower civics because you just spin wheels through 4 gears. Ive been on both sides of the fence and i would absolutely never rather have a honda than any german car. refer to the profile picture and have fun controlling that at 40 miles per hour in your bondoed up del slow

better get it dyno'ed quick. Those motors typically last 20k km with hard driving. Bore and stroke from the frankenstien build puts too much pressure on the cylinder walls.

Oh for sure I wouldn't doubt it. The reason I like AWD is what you can get away with off road. Also from my experience AWD can put even power (not sure if that's the phrase I'm looking for but you get the point) around corners. I think every type of drivetrain, and for that matter, type of car, has its place. It's really driver preference I think.

Theonly honda i would ever buy is the honda pilot or the ridgeline. I dont need a full size truck and the ridgleing would be sick to have. They run forever and are perfect for how i drive. I would never buy a honda car tho.

I started this thread for honda fans, not for pinheads to come in and spew why they dislike honda or why honda sucks. They ask for me to point out holes in their arguement, so i do. If you come into my thread and try and derail it from its purpose, ill make you look like an idiot... its fairly simple. I am a car nerd, and i am a mechanic... so if you want to talk about cars with me, you better have your shit straight and crystal clear, thats all. It truly is pathetic the overall taste of cars on this website. This kid with the S4 kept his car fucking stock besides one little thing. The audi is a dope car and i woudl rather drive that over a riced out civic with 600 hp any day.

People who tend to drive these over riced out shitty civics that go pretty fast tend to be some of the most ignorant, one track minded people ont he roads. They dont understand how fucking anoying those fart cannons sound to everyone. As well as just how plain stupid they look. You drive a fucking old shitty honda. It will never be considered a ncie car, just a shitty old honda regardless of how fast it goes. Spend your money and time into something productive.

youre hating on this site because of bias in car taste yet you rip on the "general honda scene", isnt that in itself what you are complaining about? Are you complaining about yourself? I love honda because of how amazing some of the tuners are, you will not get a better hardcore tuning scene in any other brand. The honda tuning scene i respect is the guys who put legit parts on their cars from spoon/toda/ type one racing, not canadian tire or pep boy honda tuners... they are 2 different groups of people and if you decide you want to group them into one solid group, you yourself are an asshat. How about before you rip on a scene of car tuners you actually learn what the scene is? go over to honda tech and watch how badly they rip on riced out hondas and be amazed at how much technical info about tuning is on that site. The true honda scene is about as hardcore as you can get, the scene where a true fan of honda will restore a theft recovery Type R from scratch just to keep the Type r's alive, the tuner who puts Individual throttle bodies on his car and tunes his car from scratch with stand alone fuel management, the guy who will spend 2k on light weight wheels even though his car is technically worth 5k. You will not see this type of tuning in audi or vw scenes because they are all fucking toolbags that would rather slap parts on and pay someone else to tune their car. This is why i respect hondas so very much. So why dont you get some car scene knowledge before you hate on "fart cans" because those people are not true tuners, they are just 16 year old kids like 90 percent of this site who fancy themselves to be car kings. I have been in both the audi tuning scene and the honda scene personally as ive owned 2 audi's and 2 honda's and I also work as a mechanic at a vw/porsche dealership so I deal with the VAG crowd all the god damn time and it makes me sick at how hopeless some euro tuners truly can be. The honda culture destroys the euro culture based on the fact they will slap a 3k motor into a rusted out civic and they get massive respect from the scene but when you look at the euro guys you only get props if you have a burberry headliner, roof basket, and a stanced car.... Ive driven more cars in my life already then you could ever dream of, so for you to say im "close minded" is a ignorant statement.

Hondas are good cars when you are a teen ager looking for something cheap. but once you start rolen with the big boys get a Mercedes or BMW, no shitty Mercedes or BMW get the high class one. BMW 550I is my choice of car, but i love Mercedes also.

lies. what turbos? what exhaust and intake? 380 at wheel isnt possible with standard turbos on s4. You have to source aftermarket turbos as the top VAG turbo runs out of steam at 22psi. Just saying. If youre claiming 380 whp im afraid im going to have to call for some proof.
