sounds like you weren't listening to it. some fucking morons in the crowd wanted to pick him up and move him for god knows why and the girls were trying to prevent them from moving him. hard to really tell what they were doing but it seemed like they handled it well.

nawww he just got his shit rocked... this has probly been said in here already but when you are drunk your conciousness/vitalsystems etc... are weakened, and when you get hit that hard you will get knocled out, your body does on purpose it so you can rest and conserve energy...

Sign nurses....

Although helpful as shit in a hospital setting most nurses have the most basic first aid/cpr training imaginable. I know this because my roomate is a nurse and he has told me that he barely knows or remembers any of his first aid training.

If someone ever gets punched in the head like that they need c-spine control right away until EMS arrives or you can fully rule out any type of c-spine injury. Best to hold on anyways until a backboard arrives with a neck collar.

Kids gonna need some dental work

Come on bro, all EMTs know that the first thing to ensure is scene safety. The kid was obviously not safe there, everyone was trying to get a picture and get real close. I think the people that wanted to move him were probably worried about him being trampled. And there is lots of research being done to see just how effective it is for someone to hold manual stabilization because even though you wouldn't think it, it still strains the spine a shit ton.

I agree with this. The big dude was chill until the guy started getting in his face. He waves him off a few times, pushes him 3 times and then drops him with 1 punch. There are certain warnings that should not be ignored regardless of how shitfaced you are.

While that is true it seemed like the majority of people in the inner circle were mostly concerned with his pulse. I doubt a trample fest would have ensued. Manual stabilization doesn't really strain the spine as much as it is meant for not moving it any further which could cause further injury....

I doubt that's something you will ever see phased out of first aid.

he's not really in a safe area. what you really need to worry about in a scenario like this is the safety of the area to ensure that EMS can do they job and obviously in such a place they can't. Therefore, there first priority is moving him to a safe area as safely and efficiently as possible. He could have been trampled, spit on, pissed on, beers dumped on him, who knows.

that being said, i'm still amazed by how fast he hit the fucking ground. hilarious.
