Hiding Spots in Toyota 4Runner?

I know a bunch of you have 4runners. Can anybody direct me towards a good hiding spot or two? I'm willing to make minor modifications, I just need somewhere very good.

I've been hiding small shit to the left of the steering wheel where the fuses are, but I can barely fit more than a grinder in there, and it's very obvious. Same problem with the area under the rear seats, plus I don't want to have to make people get out when I need to access shit.

Granted I didn't give it a ton of time, but all I really saw that could have helped was cutting a slit in a seat.

Not sure if im ready to do that.

honestly i kept it in the armrest. probably dumb though. I have a '94, and the places i would think could be where the tire iron is under the carpet, in a speaker compartment behind the 2nd row of seats, and perhaps in the back of the front seats, with zipper access from the bottom that you could get from the second row.

I always kept my shit in a pelican case that i kept inside a sealed piece of mail that wasnt addressed to me. that way it would be super hard to find, illegal for the cops to open without a warrant, and if they opened it, i could just say it wasnt my mail

Got this off of google so it's shitty quality, but it's the only picture I found that shows the area... Do you see that plastic storage area below the lighter and ash tray? I'm not sure if all 4runner models had it, but both of my 2nd gens did so I assume yours will. That storage area is held in place by two little plastic clamps. I got rid of those and let it just sit there. It fits snug so it won't fall down, yet it comes out easily if you pull on it from the right angle. Behind that is the a/c outlets and quite a bit of room- more than you'll find near the fuses. That's what I used, hope it works for you too

one on each side... Kind of hard to explain and they're really bizarre little things. I just called them clamps because I couldn't think of anything else to call them. When I pulled my dash apart to put in my deck I actually broke them because I couldn't figure out how the hell to get them off. I just used a flathead screwdriver to pry them off and that's that- never really missed them. Of course Toyota couldn't do the normal thing and use normal screws or bolts tlike what's used on the rest of the dash. Anyways, you'll figure it out when you have a chance to look at your truck- my explanation makes it sound alot harder than it is.

btw props on driving a 4runny... even though I consider my  tacoma an upgrade, I still miss my old rusty beast dearly

Not 4runner, but basic spot for a little weed is pulling the rubber back right at the top between the windshield and roof. I keep my insurance and registration up in there just cause.
