Trident Missiles, and the Ohio class submarines that carry them.

undetectable, can fire up to 16(probly more) ballistic missiles with multiple independently targeted warheads from anyhwere in the oceans(including under thinnish ice) to anyhwere on earth. the only limit the subs have to staying underwater is food for the crew(not air, not water).


missile silos can be bombed, planes can be shot down, these subs cannot be touched.

i personally prefer the ar-16 with infared sights, i think they define the concept of a modern assault rifle and arent useless like an FN2000

we probably also have satellites with all kinds of weapons ready to rock if shit hits the fan. although a few subs in the crazy depths of the ocean may be harder to locate than a satellite

this is the reason why simple goatherders can fuck with a nation that's got one of the most powerful armies and the most sophisticated weapon systems....

your whole submarine and trident missiles are useless in an insurgency warfare where insurgents move alongside civilians...

i wouldnt say useless...

cuz there are numerous times through our nations warfare history where air support saved a lot of lives.

and i would take an america made M16 of the ak47... all around just better rifle. durable, simple to take apart/clean, more firepower, etc.

The ak-47 has such a high kill count, but the K/D ratio probly sucks. For that fact i wouldnt call it the best weapon in the world, OP's is pretty sick. Id hate living in a sub for that long though

not that important, but I'm pretty sure MIRVs are illegal so the ships don't have them. Also, they are somewhat detectable and definitely have a max range. Must cannot reach large parts of the globe. Still pretty damn deadly though.

not illegal, and your retarded if you think they have a max range. they go up into orbit- meaning they can chill there until they are over their target and then drop back in.

while the warheads are detectable, there is not reliable way to shoot them out of the sky...hell the US has a super hard time trying to shoot big ass SCUD missiles out of the sky, let alone something with little heat signature, and the size of a TV.

on top of this, the subs are positioned strategically all over the world, so using the ballistic missiles is far from a neccessity, as they could most likely just use short range missiles...but if something cracks off on the other side of the world, they are still able to reach it.

Or a mcmillan Tac50, 50cal sniper rifle with a thermal scope and 50cal raufoss mk211 rounds....

put on a ghillie suit and start wreaking havoc !

the raufoss round can shoot through a wall and explode at the back like a shotgun round

with a thermal scope it's useful at both day and night and you can easily detect heat signatures which is very effective for counter sniping when someone is shooting at you from the back of a building, in the shadow, making him invisible from the outside....

there's not much you can do against a well trained sniper, except take cover and stay there....

nah we've essentially had this technology since the 60's, but we've perfected it since then.

the only other country who has this capability(other than britain cause we gave it to them) is russia. People dont realize how far behind, technology wise, the rest of the world is to america and russia. hell china just recently developed reliable ICBM's...something we've had for 50+ years. the cold war forcedmilitary technology to advance far, far quicker for the soviets and america than the rest of the world. while other countries have nukes, they have really shitty, shortrange, unreliable ways of delivering them...and that makes all the difference.


The implications are that, NO ONE, and i repeat NO ONE can ever use a nuclear weapon against america or her allies because they will be literally and figurtivaly blown off the map in a matter of minutes.
