"criminal trespassing" wtf

ok the other day my friends and i were jumping of these cliffs under a damn. Then this biker cop guy caught us and gave us warnings for criminal trespassing. He said if he catches us again we'll be booked/fined. He told us that there were 'no trespassing' signs, so we told him to show us one and he said he didnt see any. wtf

from a legal stand point, if you go in on your on your way to the dam, look for signs, if there is nothing posted on the dams in clear view, or on your trail in, there is no action they can take, simply because u had no clear view, or previous warning from the signs.
