I'm 5'8" and used volkl wall 161's for the past year and they have worked great if thats any comparison.

I'm 171 and I use the 177 and they're great.
177 should be fine for you but they run a little shorter so you could consider even the 185 if you're not an entry level

I'm 6'2" and used to have the 177s and 185s, the 177s were fine, felt much easier to jib and butter, but the 185s were probably better allround.

I'm 5'11 and have the 177's, and frankly i could go longer as they are centermounted and hence feel shorter.
