I have adobe premiere elements and it sucks.. like the play back is glitchy it just sucks. Will Vegas HD edit gopro footy ok? and before you ask no it is not my computer. I have a quad processor 6gb ram, 64 bit dell 750gb hard drive.
Back at school we used a 64 bit, 12gb RAM, dual Xeon processor platform for all our architectural design work.
But guess what? They couldn't even play a video on Facebook without glitches and jumpy footage. It very well could be your computer, so don't rule that out.
First, try converting your files to a format that Premiere handles better using MpegStreamclip (just google it its a free program, pretty easy to use).
If that doesnt work, it is probably time to upgrade your graphics card.
might be the version of premiere you have. older ones can't really process h.264 (gopro compression) the newer versions have a better playback engine. To fix this, get a newer version of premiere (one that has the mercury playback engine) or transcode your files (huffyuv lossless encoding is good) SUPER is a good, free video and audio converter
Wrong. Don't post advice if you don't know what you're talking about.
It plays well in quicktime because its a file format that quicktime has an okay time reading. On the other hand, the codec isn't very friendly for adobe. Use mpeg streamclip to convert your files into h.264 .AVIs or h.264 .MOVs and you're set, it will play smooth as butter.
