You're exactly right, that change won't come until it benefits the people at the top. But in any real government that position should be held by the governed, the people in majority should have the final say. As of now, it doesn't matter how many people peacefully protest and write letters to their senators... we won't see change.
That's why I'm taking the next step forward and pointing out that really the only option left will turn out to be revolutionary change. I don't understand why people get so flaky when change of that magnitude is discussed, this isn't the first time we've reached a tipping point in human evolution and it won't be the last.
But now we are here <---- and the topic of this thread is over there ----> so I'll just end this with some vibes to the OP and an open invitation to continue to discuss this elsewhere. I might be throwing together a cult for some outside-the-box discussions and to share some ideas... because in NSG people have no idea how to debate properly and it always ends in a sloppy argument.
