Fucking goldmine.

So back in the day, my dad taught photography at a local university. He still teaches there, but his focus is more towards Metalsmithing and drawing, although he still teaches a few photography classes.

Well yesterday he brought home a medium sized box and gave it to me. Here are the contents:

Some of his old shit. A Canon F1, a Nikon Nikkormat, and a Nikon N2000.
The lenses include a Tamron 28mm F 2.5, a Nikkor-S 50mm F 1.4, a Canon 50mm F 1.8, and a Nikkor 50mm F 1.8.
Also included was a SHEPHERD DM-170 digital exposure meter.
He also notified me that he had more lenses at the university that he would bring home.
I'm extremely pumped to start shooting with film, and from what I've read, the F1 was an awesome camera back in the day!

Sick, shooting with film is really fun. If you really get into it you should also try developing your own film & printing

I started my first roll today of Fujifilm 400 and have another roll of that, which I was told both are pretty old. I've also got 4 rolls of Ferrania 200 that was imported in 1990 that expired between 2005 and 2008.

And lastly, I just bought a roll of Fuji Velvia 100 to try.

Ok, so I just acquired two more lenses. The first is a Tamron Tele Macro 90mm F2.5.

The second is my new favorite. It's a micro-Nikkor 55mm F2.8.
This lens has the smoothest focus I've ever seen.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get an adaptor for old Nikkor lenses to the new canon EOS? I don't think it would be possible because of the bayonet system that the Nikkor lenses have.

Yep I know a guy that had a 5D Mark ii with the 55mm 2.8 on it. Just google it and then ebay it for the adapter.

I found an old vivitar 28mm f/2.8 while cleaning out my house and It is my favorite lens to shoot with. Doesn't really mount on my camera so I just hold it in place and the style of the shot is really cool. Plus manual focus is way more fun
