Reasons to be American

The U.S. get a lot of hate on this forum lately and while it's true that parts of the american culture/society suck, same goes for every other country. Now I think it's time to say what fucking amazing about the states, what makes you want to become an american citizen and why?

I personally want to be sitting in a football stadium along with 100 000+ people watching the NCAA finals not giving a fuck who wins cause we'll all be chanting "USA, USA, USA!!" at the end of the game anyway.

This is NOT a patriotic or political thread and if this turns into christians vs atheists i'll probably shoot myself. Let's keep it clean.

Well, I am from the U.S. so every reason I have to be thankful is a reason to be American. But I would have to say The States make this place worth living. Each one is its own. You can choose anyone you like.

Be warned about Miami though, more Jews than you might think.

hmm i have a feeling that this statement is highly debatable. Last time i checked every other country had the same phones the United States have. And for some reason i dont think you watch that many foreign films, granted hollywood has spread to many places but other countries still have their own movies. And as for the music part that is just a stupid thing to say.

- Amazing mountains


But then again, you don't have to be an American citizen to enjoy any of those.

Not just a road... The fucking Interstate Highway. They are efficient, relatively safe, and the easiest way to travel in North America. Call it irrational, but I think they are great thing about America. They allow an average American to drive triple the amount of milage for about the same cost, and they make a huge reduction in the overall cost of just about everything.

Wealthy people have it really fuckin good here...so if I make enough money, I'll probably stay in America. It's not all THAT expensive to live here in decent housing, depending on where you live. I suppose my main reason other than how it's the best country to be rich in, would be environment, I love the rainforest in the PNW too much to give that up. It's also the dominator culture of the world, so might as well reside in the heart of it all before it spreads out and Americanizes the rest of the world, I've explored around to my heart's content for the time being.

I would say #1 reason for being a US citizen is that there are no abandoned landmines in the countryside waiting to blow your leg off/kill you. YEAH IM LOOKING AT YOU RUSSIA AND GERMANY!

also because we have wanksters to make fun of, cheap sportscars, NYC, Boston, a shit ton of resorts in the rockies that are within driving distance/you don't need a passport, a shit ton of resorts on the east side, Mad golf courses that the middle class can access, mo'fuckin water parks. We have gyms where the floors and walls are trampolines.

Despite what some people claim is a shit lower end of medical care, the US has consistently churned out advances in medical science that have improved the lives of millions of people.

And consider this....the wealth of the US has pulled how many hundreds of millions of people out of poverty, either through aid or trade benefits?


Yeah, the US is a pretty sweet country. I'm glad we have such a strong relationship with them.

modeled after Hitler's autobahn which is a much better system. Interstates are all cracked and broken and needing constant repair cause we cheaped out and didn't build the roads deep enough. also there's no speed limits on sections of the autobahn yet they are safer than american interstates.

Real reasons to be proud of the ole USA:

1)Industrial, technological, scientific and cultural leader of the world.

2) Created the national park system

3) Encompasses nearly every climate and ecosystem on earth.

it is very true. most americans don't know how lucky they are, and how good they have it. On both political and social scales, America is a very nice place to live compared to most other countries.

a "poor" american has a greater monetary advantage in life, compared to most people who don't live in America. So many people in Asia, parts of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central America, and South America literally have nothing.
