Holla , i have couple questions for you guys , please help me!
I have picked a place where my 'summer setup' will be and i dont need a drop in because i have a little steep part which i can use.I dont want to place the astro turf on the ground , because i think it would take the speed from it.Should i just attach the turf to some wood underneath it or?
And my other question is the place i chose is away from my house and it's kind of hard to bring so much water every day to get the astro dry , im going to also use soap what do you think i should do ?

If I lived in Europe and was going to build a set up, I would go with Neveplast www.neveplast.com . It cost so much to have it shipped to the US right now that they don't even take you seriously if you call them. It is fast dry and you can just lay it down on top of dirt, grass, etc. It seems to have better carvability than snowflex. You won't have to use water and you will most likely never have to replace it. In Europe I would imagine it is not super expensive and can be bought in smaller quantities.

i dont really have money right now , and i have bought already astro turf..
But how am i supposed to use 'hoses' if it's not in my house ?? its in the frikin woodz

large buckets! or if theres a creek/pond/swamp nearby, you could buy a pump.... or siphon if its downhill from there..

That is going to be a tough one. Maybe you could use snowgel www.snowgel.com . I've never skied on it, but you can watch the vids and I've heard you can cover it with plastic trash bags and it stays moist longer.

A dry alternative to Astroturf is orange construction fencing. Personally i'm not much of a fan of this stuff because it's kinda hard to stay in control on it, but it gets the job done. If you can have the fencing on the in-run and turf on the jump it should work good. I'v done that before and it worked just fine without water.

And yes, just put plywood or pallets or whatever you have below the turf, it adds a lot of speed.

That stuff looks awesome I wonder how well it works. To OP you should just find some cheap wood if you don't want to put the turf on the ground.

Hey guys again ! Just have another question and really didn't feel like making another thread so.I think i won't be able to do my setup with turf because of the water issue.I found out that a lot of people use some kind of fencing(most times ORANGE) , and it looks like it doesnt need that much water , also where can i find it.Please give me some tips and stuff i`ll be very thankfull .+K for answers :)

many people use turf AND the fence. to make it faster. I dont think that the fence by it self would be any good because you would have no control over your edges when taking off. Also you can find it at any construction store.

I saw one yesterday and instantly thought of this thread, thats probably not a good thing but oh well. You could get a rain barrel and set it up close to your setup. Have a drainage hole/ tap at the bottom of it and whenever you need water you just fill up a small bucket with it. You also want to hope for rain.

build a sort of ladder and lay it on the ground make sure to screw the turf around the lader pieces (the pieces you would climb on). this will be much faster beacause it is less friction. trust me its the way to go

alright, so the only thing i found that it might have been was animal birthing lube. Not sure if it works or if anyones tried it tho. About $10/gallon

the soap will dry/gum up after a while skiing. buy a .5 gallon of baby oil since it is oily it wont dry up as easily, and it works great. (as long as you can tolerate the smell)
