Armada vs volkl

oh yeah and i am from colorado ski at breck, am 17, 5'7'', 120, ability level- hit rails, hit all of park lane, do some pipe, and i have enought to get either ski. looking for park ski, that is the main thing.

You're gonna hear what you want to hear posting this and its the right thing: Armada for sure. If you're looking for a killer park ski why wouldn't you go with a tried and true brand? Sure Volkl is good, but there is no need to take a risk on buying it if you know you are down to shred the park. And one thing people can always say about Armada is that they last & are durable.

I think both companies are great - I have the volkl walls and the armada jjs and they are both great skis, both built really well, Very solid skis. (different uses but they both display the build quality)

But I would go with armada because since k2 took over volkl most of their skis are now pressed in China, instead of Germany (which is where they used to be pressed I believe). Armadas are pressed in austria at the atomic factory i believe. If I was paying for a crafted product like a ski i'd want it to be made somewhere which has a connection/passion to skiing at least.

Apart from which it keeps the money within european engineering instead of lining k2 big wigs pockets with their large profit margins - I guess k2 are a business and that is what business is all about, but I feel it is a shame to focus on profits over passion.

But it's your choice; my walls were made in china and they are very solid (I was given them for free so no complaining!)

Sorry for the rant - I'd go with the armada's.
