Hey,

I'm trying to edit my nikon d5100 HD video clips in final cut express but always get a shitty end result. Any help/Suggestions?

If you're sure you filmed in HD, you're very likely rendering to a low quality. I'm not familiar with Final Cut, but make sure you're rendering to the same quality you filmed in.
