Does anyone know how to make blackberry apps?

I.e. for the playbook. I'm wondering how these things get made and how much it would cost for someone to do it. I have an idea for a pretty simple thing that would be helpful for work.

make sure you file a copyright claim before you talk to anyone- the developer could steal the idea say not possible and then turn around and make hella cash

I'm not sure I care. I could easily snap together an agreement like that but like I said it's for my work, it's not something most people would be interested in. I'm not worried about that though I'm just wondering how they're made and how much effort / cost would be involved for someone to do it.

im pretty sure that you buy a developers kit (~100$) then you can make the app and publish it to the store

i think you might have some luck and find someone you can pay to write one for you. you see that thread where a kid on here made a really legit iphone app? there are def some devs on here, id say keep bumping the thread every now and then

or maybe you could just write a code in those languages on a computer and run that. does it need to be on your blackberry or is it possible that youre always at your computer when you need this ap?

The whole point is being able to use it when not at the computer, so no. I looked it up and apparently you use adobe flash builder to make the apps - I don't know how to use that but perhaps I should learn.

I'm in the same boat, I have what I think is a great idea but cant act on it becasue my technical knowledge is slim to none.
