Ways to find stolen skis?

Someone stole my Line Blends either in Squaw Valley or Tahoe City a few weeks back. (They have a Monster sticker and Electric sticker on them with Marker Griffin bindings if anyone in Tahoe has by any chance seen them.)

Anyways, has anyone on here had any luck tracking stolen stuff and finding it? Any tips would be helpful. Huge loss, I loved that setup and it served me well over seasons on the east coast, colorado, and out here in Squaw too. People suck. Who goes into someones car and steals skis?

Report it to the police, look around craigslist and eBay, put a thread in regionals, and go to local shops and report it to them (so they could call you if someone tries to sell them). Good luck finding them!

know the feeling all too well bro. I'm sorry to hear that dude. It is the biggest scumbag thing to do, and I hope that person that stole your skis burns in a ditch alive...

got mine stolen at mt snow 2 years ago, never got em back. chances are slim to find em, but you never know

File a police report in the county they were stolen in (sooner the better) as well as a lost/stolen equipment form (or something of the like) at BOTH mountains.

 If you have the serial # for skis, make SURE to add it.

Mention something about how the retail value of skis/bindings combined is over $500, which many  states constitutes felony theft.

As mentioned above: Lurk CL, ebay, NS, TGR, epicski, and any other local sites of the sort. 

Possibly keep an eye out at ski swaps this coming fall.  This is where the serial #, and filed police report come in handy.

my friend got his stolen and he filed a police report and got them back two days later because the dumbass tried to sell them at the shop where my friend bought them and when the shop dude told him that he couldnt return them because he had skied on them he said oh i didnt buy these so they knew what happened. yes i know cool story bro

If you report them to all the shops around, it is likely that somebody will bring them in for a remount eventually, and the shops could keep their eyes out.
