BC EEL Longboard

I gotta get a new longboard quick, and I'm almost positive I'm going to get the BC eel. I have ridden a Kracked Skulls Scimitar for a couple years now but it just snapped in half today. So I'm wondering what people think of the eel and BC boards. I've heard it's an amazing board for what I like to do. I weigh 115lbs, like a fairly flexy and light board and I mainly carve, dance and do a little bit of sliding, tricks and small-medium hills. So If anybody could tell me how the board is, That'd be great and I'll give KARMA!

Also if I get it, I will just get the deck, because I already have lime BigZigs and Randal 180 trucks. Do you think that would be a good combination with the EEL.

great board. Even though it technically is the same thing as the dervish, it feels so much better built and the slightly wider platform is perfect. My friend has one and I get to ride it alot. Easy to manual, easy to slide (of course most set ups are if you know how to) and the flex is spot on for what you want to do. Id get it with paris 180's and metro motion 80a's

my bad i didnt read your full post. Forget what I said before. keep the Randals, ride the big zigs untill they core and replace them with metro motions or sector 9 race forms. Dont jump on the bandwagon and get otangs. In my opinion there the most overrated wheel on the market. Super chattery...

Hey this is unrelated, but how did you like the scimitar for the sort of riding you said? thats pretty much the exact sort of riding that i would like to start to do, and dont really know if i should get glass, and what length I should get. Im 170 lbs by the way

Definitely not the same thing as the dervish--the flex is close, but it's longer, has a wider foot platform, more concave, and more of a tail and nose. All of those factors mean that it's heavier, but god... I absolutely love my Eel.

Bought it about a month ago and can't stop riding it--I have Paris 180's, Abec 11 Big Zig Limes and Bones Super Reds and it's the perfect setup for me. I'm sure that you'll (the OP) be fine with your current truck setup though.

The board is perfect for pretty much everything, like their site says, it's a true all around board. It's got a ton of flex, but at the same time once you get going faster it'll stiffen up and be more stable. Definitely a very playful board and will pretty much do anything that you want it to. Also, it's perfectly shaped so no matter how big your wheels are you'll never ever get wheel bite.

thats kinda what I was getting at. Alot of people compare it to the dervish. In reality the dervish is great at carving and dancing and just alright at freeride. The eel takes the cake in all categories. Feels super comfy at speeds 25+, wider platform and concave lock you into slides, tip and tales make shuvs, tiger claws and gturns a dream.

Thats funny, my scimitar cracked right in half too! I'm on a rayne vendetta now. Great board :) Hope youre enjoying your BC eel!! How do you like the concave? Ive heard its intense!

Does anyone else have anything to tell us about the Eel. I'm thinking about gettin one. If you have one, explain your setup. Any positives and or negatives? Does this board have any camber?
