Conversion lenses?

Hey guys im looking for some insight..

Un-needed background:
I picked up a t2i a few weeks back and am looking for some new "lenses" to open up new creative shots.
Originally i planned not to be cheap, and to invest copious amounts of money into my camera. However, with car payments and rent this summer I just cant put together enough money to get everything i want. but thats life right?

Solution?:
Conversion lenses..? Now I know that a conversion lens will not give me as crisp/clear results as a legit lens, but they seem like a somewhat good investment for someone who is in my shoes. At the moment i only have the kit 18-55mm ef-s lens. So i will be mounting the conversion lenses to that.

Which convertor lens?:
So that leaves choice of lens. Does anyone shoot with conversion lenses with their dslr? I'd like to spend ~$100 or less each on a fisheye and tele. What I dont want is to end up with shots that look like im a 12 year old filming with a camcorder and an ebay $19 fisheye.

Sparknotes:
Recommend me a good quality fisheye conversion lens and a good quality tele converter lens for my t2i so i can afford to move out and not live with my mother after i graduate high school in a few weeks.




If conversion lenses are a waste of time and i just typed this out for nothing then heres a picture of a dolphin with a camera.

but yeah, I would never use one. Maaaaaybe the fisheye for some crazy redic distorted follow shots, but thats it

Put moving out ahead of buying a new lens. Just get on your own first and then you can put money towards camera gear.

Don't do it.. If I were you I would look into just buying a 55-200 or something in that range. If you buy that conversion lens youll just hate it and eventually decide to buy real glass so itll just be $50 wasted..

If you want to buy real lenses for cheap you should look into buying some old primes from ebay or a local camera shop. You can get some really nice glass for around 50 dollars and all you need is a convertor which can easily be found on ebay for $5-15 depending on the convertor.

Yeah, look for old M42 glass and old analog Nikon (Nikkor) glass.
Idk if you're planning on using video (I hope so, because otherwise getting a T2i would be a bit of waste) so MF lenses don't matter, or probably even better because manually focusing with those is much smoother.

yeah right now im finding myself with 80% filming 20% still picture taking.
and I have been trolling ebay for a week or so, picked up a helios last night (44m-6) and now i want a wide and a fisheye.

Fisheyes are expensive - Old analog ones too.
Why do you want a fisheye though? The uses of it will be fairly limited I'd say. You can't use it too much, too much stress on the eyes.

Don't you just want a UWA rectilinear lens?
