In need of some tripod advice

Hey guys so I'm looking to grab my first fluid head set up and I'm pretty sold the the 717AH Video Fluid Head because its pretty cheap and because I will be shooting at the beach and mountain most of the time it will take a beating. I think I'm going to get it in a kit these two seem the best but because I don't know to much I would appreciate some advice. Which of these would be the best or is there something else out there you would recommend?

no one? im basically choosing between a ball mount twin leg and a single leg flat headed mount, can any one offer and opinion between those two types of tripods?

I have the second one it is almost too light. It is very good for bringing around but if you dont have a heavy camera or dont weigh it down in some way it is not super stable. Basically do you want a lighter tripod that is easy to carry or a heavier one that is more stable?
