Replying to Photography Style Adaptation

For a photography project I need to take an artist, genre or concept and basically make my own pieces that show a clear influence from my topic. Basically I need to take an artist, genre or concept and take a convention from it and put it into my own work.

I am running out of time and am quite stuck for ideas. If anyone has an artist, genre or concept that they think would be fun or cool, please let me know.
